DESCRIPTION

    This Victorian house was built circa 1928.  It is believed that back in this time this house served 3 families.  Given today's standards, it provides an ideal setting for a family reunion.  With two living rooms and a sun-porch, there are plenty of gathering places.  Two private entrances separate 5 bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor from the three bedrooms on the first floor.  The second and third floor cooled by central air-conditioning are bright and charming,  while the first floor is more rustic given its lower ceilings.

    The traditional homes in Avalon are in the North end of the island and close to Dune Drive.  Given its location 1/2 block east of Dune Drive, 147 12th Street reflects the rich history of rail roads and vacationers of the early 1900's. 

    This house is available  for rent weekly  to a family.  There are two private entrances, a deck and off-street parking.  The house is 2.5 blocks from the dunes and the ocean beyond. 

    Avalon and Stone Harbor are referred to as the 7-mile island.  Avalon is said to be "cooler by a mile" since the ocean breezes in the summer keep the island cooler than the main-land.  By day, visit Historic Cape May, or the Cape May County Zoo.  Fishing and boating are available.  There is even para-sailing and jet-skis.  Or simply escape to the beach and relax to the sound of the waves.  Consider this seashore property your New Jersey travel destination.
